| The Indiana Repertory Theatre’s 37th season promises another great year of performances for our friends, patrons and families all over Indiana. IRT theatergoers have come to expect outstanding professional theatre; courageously selected, stylishly produced, strikingly directed and beautifully performed. We understand your expectation and commit ourselves to doing exactly that. This season, many of our plays revolve around the transformational power that theatre possesses to animate works from other art forms: six of the ten plays began their lives as works of film fiction or photography. The other four plays, which could only ever live on the stage, include a world premiere with its roots in Indiana history, a Shakespeare tragedy refracted through a 21st century lens, a recent Broadway hit and a newly translated French farce. |
